Outrageous - Crazy - Saltwater Fun!
(Cough-cough) "I think I have something in my throat." You look in, reach down his throat, pull things out. It's a hammer....he must be a hammer head shark!  Pull out a clock...a license plate and finally a saw..A saw?? "I'm getting fat so 'm trying to "cut-down". I'm on a seafood diet, I eat everything I see! Ha ha. You'll come up with tons of ideas for this toothy character.

Need a pre-recorded voice for this Shark Puppet? AxTrax Wide Open Routines have 5 voices to choose from on each CD. The Gruff Voice on the Wide Open CDs will work great! Check out AxTrax Puppet voice CDs here!
Barnacle was a reject shark who didn't get the big part in "Jaws". Too many cavities.

Other Ideas:

HIGH SCHOOL OR ADULT SHOWS:

After pulling out a few props, reach down one more time but this time slide your sleeve over your hand and pull it out yelling (as if he's bit it off) turn the shark around to reveal your other hand hanging out of his mouth wiggling! TOTALLY GROSS... I know. End with "GIVE HIM A HAND.....I JUST DID!"

DRESS HIM UP:
Put a bib around his neck to show that he's hungry and ready to eat anything or anyone!

TEACH MANNERS:
With a personality of being out of control, you can teach manners and self control to your kid audiences.

CORPORATE SHARK:
Put a colar and neck tie around his neck to be a shrewed businessman or corporate or lawyer "shark". (A very popular book by business writer Harvey McCay is "Swim with the Sharks". This subject would be big at corporate meetings or law firm banquets.

Here are some more great ideas from our AXcellent customers.......

Steven S. Jodzio
Barnacle teaches the problems taking drugs, pull out body parts ruined from using bad drugs.

Name: Guy Siverson
Idea: I'm thinking that he would be a great tool to teach about Safety both in the water and on land.

Steven S. Jodzio
Barnacle could teach children about choosing the right hooks, (choices) in life. Show different fishing poles with different choices on hooks. Each time you select a bad choice, pull out a part of the body it damaged.

Name: Joy Set Clowns
Idea: Barnacle is trying to get to Broadway for the remake of Westside Story. He wants to be part of the Sharks of course.

Steven S. Jodzio
Have Barnacle explain about polluting the oceans, what could happen to the world if all the oceans became polluted. Pull out things that would be bad or the ocean environment. Barnacle could explain to kids the dangers of talking to strangers, know who your talking to and not talk to strange sharks, i.e., people.

Name: Gene
Idea: Barnacle could be used to teach kids about all the dangers in life that sneak up on us. As with sharks, when you go into their domain, you need to be prepared and aware of what can happen to you. That os like everyday life. If we put ourselves into situations where bad things can get a hold of us, we need to be aware and ready so these things can NOT sneak up on us. We need to put ourselves into situations that we can reamin safe. Such as friends who do bad things, places with bad influences. etc.

Marcus Eayres
I would use Barnacle the Shark (Or Barny for short) to teach how bad it is to eat junk food. He could have stomach ache from eating too much junk and then start pulling household junk from his mouth and then his stomach ache would go away. And that if he didn't eat so much junk food he would not get his stomach aches.

Just an idea for next Christmas...'Shark the herald angelfish sing' or 'A ray in a manger' or 'Cod rest ye merry gentlemen'.....Shall I go on? May be not. This little guy is so cool i see him singing his own fishy versions of popular music such as limpet bizkit or a seventies classic from david sole or elton prawn. ....Merry Christmas!

.Colin Dymond
My idea is to have a routine about brushing your teeth and then pull out all sorts of bits from Barny's teeth.

Glenn B. Holmes
I would use him to show that you can't judge people by their looks. He may look like a mean shark but he just want's someone to play with. How about you, you look tasty er....I mean lonely.

Steven S. Jodzio
Great to be used to explain about our environment, i.e., clean oceans, etc.

Name: Gene Oswald
Idea: I would use him in our kids program on drugs. He could play a local "lone shark" who controls all the neighborhood action. He could enteract with kids, adults, etc. trying to get them to do things they know is bad. Everything he does comes out wrong. I could enteract with him and make him seem like a "dope!"

Name: Steve Axtell
Idea: Have him represent someone who is very greedy, so you can teach him self-control.
