Before you contact us for a custom puppet, please understand that our line of characters is growing to include a multitude of new animals, creatures and people types. We may have plans to build a puppet similar to your suggestion already. However if we make a custom puppet for you, it would be unique from the characters we add to our line.
There are 2 ways to make your custom puppet.
EXCLUSIVE CUSTOM - We can make an incredible custom character for you - exclusively starting at $5000 - and up (depending on size & complexity) this includes the transfer of all copyrights to you (stage and media rights). Animations such as blinking eyelids or moving eyes are extra.
NON-EXCLUSIVE CUSTOM - If we like your idea and see it could be a fit for our catalog, we can make the character for you FIRST starting at $500-up (depending on complexity and rush fees) which include stage rights (media rights extra). The character becomes the property of Axtell Expressions, Inc. (you would receive the first one but not own any rights to it) and we'll add it to our line of products for others to purchase. Many of our catalog products were originated for customers in this creative and affordable way. This could work for you if you don't need exclusive rights.
MEDIA RIGHTS can be purchased for many of the puppets in our catalog which allow you to use them on TV, videos, DVD, web movies, etc. Email Steve with your project to discuss the rate.

Fire Breathing Dragon head
Here is a BIG enlargement of our Dinostar puppet. It has light up eyes, Fire-breathing nostrils (CO2) and mechanical lever moving mouth. This head is approximately 30" long. For future projects, it can be made up in any color and controlled by a mechanism behind the head, or worn as a costume head.

Full Scale Mechanical Animated Tree
This BIG latex tree face has great bark detail, moving eyes, blinking lids and moving mouth. It's about 4 foot high and 4 foot wide! It's puppeted from behind. One of the puppeteer's hands moves a direct mouth rod, and the other hand moves the eyes left and right on a horizontal control bar.
The eyelids are moved by your index finger moving a special servo controller, or hand grip cable control
It can be mounted to a 3 foot diameter tree that you build into your set. The mechanism needs to be supported from the ground. Building the basic tree trunk can be fun and done in a weekend! Click here for details.

Large Talking Tree Puppet - Face
In order to attach the big tree face to your own tree trunk you would allow room for it to be mounted then you spray insullation foam texture over the flange of the latex face to blend it in and transition from the latex. The heavy mechanics will need to be supported from the ground. The tree face can be purchased as a non-animated latex face only or animated with moving mouth (puppet rod control) 4x4 ft. operator controlled Blinking eyelids and side-to-side moving eyes are extra. It can also be fully animatronic. |

LARGE SIZE TREE FACES |
Our LARGE size Tree Faces will fit large trees from 8 feet to 20 feet or more! You can attach our latex tree faces to your own tree structures and blend them artistically for a great look.

SMALL Talking Tree Puppet Option
The cost on this is only $329.95 for the painted puppet tree face. You can mount it to your own tree, or we can build a tree.Note, this face is smooth, but we paint it to look like bark, whereas the Big tree face above has sculptured bark texture. Notice that the small tree face is made from our Big Book puppet face. It has airbrushed texture but the suface is smooth.
Moving eyes or Blinking Lids can be added to this tree too. This small tree face animation shows the eyes moving and blinking. The mouth moves by hand and opens much wider than what's shown in the animation. this face is ready to mount on your own tree trunk, or we can build it as an entire tree!
