BOOK & BIBLE puppets by Axtell

Reading shows are hot. Schools & Libraries are hiring entertainers to encorage their students to read more. Use the books to teach the Dewey Decimal Systerm.

Churches and Church Schools can use it as the "Living Bible". A latex translation. Teach verse memorization.

Use it as a song book and teach new songs to kids.

Use the small and large books together in a show to demonstrate the value of both old books and new books.

Q - Do you paint the books black like a Bible?

A - We can do that, but the details of the face don't show up well from a distance. We prefer to make it a brown leather Bible look, so everything shows up well to your audience.

Need a pre-recorded voice for a Book Puppet? AxTrax Wide Open Routines have 5 voices to choose from on each CD. The Voices on the Wide Open CDs will work great! Check out AxTrax Puppet voice CDs here!

Books Are To Be Read
Glenn Tompkins & Bruce Weaver

F = Figure V = Ventriloquist

F: So where are we today?

V: We're in the library, Andy. Don't you see all the books?

F: Oh, yeah. What are they doing here?

V: A library is a place where books are stored so people can borrow them..

F: What for?

V: Andy, books are to be read.

F: I see some that are green, and yellow, and orange. Should I get my

crayons?

V: Get your crayons? Why?

F: So I can make them red.

V: No, Andy, you're thinking of the color red.

F: Well, red IS a color you know.

V: Yes, there is a color red, but I wasn't talking about it.

F: What color were you taking about?

V: I wasn't talking about a color.

F: Yes, you were.

V: No, I said the books in the library are to be read.

F: Should I get my crayons?

V: No, I don't mean the color red.

F: Red IS a color you know.

V: Yes, I know. Let me explain it again. There are lots of books here in

the library.

F: Yes, I see them.

V: When we borrow a book, we read the book,

F: Yes?

V: And when we finish reading the book, it is read.

F: Will you read a book for me?

V: Sure, I can do that.

F: Good, I want to watch it change colors.

V: It doesn't change colors.

F: You said after you read it, it's red. And red IS a color you know.

V: Look, I'm not talking about the color red, I'm talking about reading

till the book is read, not the color, but a book is read when you finish

reading it, and I don't mean the color.

F: You're confused.

V: I'm not confused, you're confused! I know perfectly well, what I'm

talking about and your trying to make it look like I don't know what I'm

saying!

F: Wow! Someone must be reading your face.

V: Reading my face? Why do you say that?

F: Cause it's getting red!

V: You're Impossible!

F: Maybe, but I'm not the one that's red.

V: How about if I read a book to you and the boys and girls?

F: That would be nice.... Should I get my crayons?

V: Now Cut That Out!

The Axtell Book puppet, or the Bible puppet, large or small will be a hit in your show!
