SOUND ADVICE: You can perform this routine by playing the CD on a quality "boom box" portable stereo player in small areas, or over a professional sound system in large areas such as an auditorium or outside. Do not play on a small inexpensive CD player because the sound will distort when you try to play it loudly.

The CD should be played with plenty of volume. Kids will be laughing hard and will miss the routine if it is too quiet, and adults may keep laughter to a minimum for fear of missing parts of the program. The volume of the CD should be set about the same as if you were speaking over a microphone to be heard by the group, or louder.

It is best to have the CD played over a public address system and have the soundman preset the volume level to be compatible with the your microphone level.

Begin your presentation with the puppet in a case or off-stage out of view.

P Yeah, yeah…Ha, ha…Hello…ha, ha…wow! (MUSIC BEGINS)

I think my heart is gonna STOP

And then I know I’m gonna to POP!

Y HOLD IT!!!

P What are you yelling about?

Y Tell us why you’re so excited!

P You know why!!

Y Well, no I don’t. Tell me.

P Guess.

Y Why don’t you just tell me??

P Come on...guess.

Y I don’t want to guess.

P Come on…guess!

Y Just tell me.

P PLEASE…can you try to guess?!

Y (SIGH) All right. You’re excited because…

P NOPE!

Y You didn’t let me finish.

P I know what you were going to say and THAT wasn’t it. Ha, ha, ha, ha

P You were trying to guess why…

P Sorry, it’s just that I’m so excited. Hey…can you guess why I’m so excited about Easter?

Y No.

P Come on, guess.

Y (name of puppet), I am not guessing.

P PLEASE!?

Y Okay, okay…you’re excited about Easter because…

P …because of coloring Easter Eggs? Oh I love to color easter eggs! You get that colored dye and dip the eggs in it, of course they always fall in splash all over, and then YOU look like a colored Easter egg too. Ha, ha, ha…it’s so FUN!

Y Okay, so you’re excited about colored Easter eggs…

P Nope…that’s not it. Guess again.

Y You’re excited about Easter because…..

P ….because of the chocolate eggs??? Oh…I love chocolate Easter eggs…especially when you bite into ‘em…except for those ones that are hollow inside….what’s up with that….nothing but air….oh, but they sure taste yummy…oh how I love chocolate! Ha, ha, ha….

Y Oh, okay…so that’s why you’re so excited….

P Nope, that’s not it either. Guess again….

Y Oh, give me a break!

P PLEASE??? Come on…guess.

Y Plastic eggs?

P Yeah! Everybody thought that Jesus was dead after they crucified him.
